Gustaf Munch-Petersen: Naked Human
- I will build myself a house –
I alone –
I shall carry the stones myself –
the sweat must sprout like hot spring
from my shoulders –
the veins must lie like thousand-year-old trees
on my brow –
my house shall be big and tall:
bigger and taller than all others –
- when it is once finished:
heavy and mighty,
I will kick away the cornerstone
and let storey after storey come rattling down,
roaring like the hollow steps of the glacier –
- at the end my laughter
shall seat itself like a little naked youngling
on top of the smoking piles of gravel
and laughing, picks its nose –
